Want to replace your old compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs) or old LEDs that aren’t as bright as they used to be?

LED bulbs save a lot of energy and last much longer than the old conventional incandescent light bulbs, but they can be costly.

Now you can tap into a convenient discount program offered by Pioneer through local stores. It’s easy to take advantage of the savings in dollars and energy. The discounts apply to a variety of LEDs and products, which range from replacements for standard household bulbs to floodlights, vanity lights, motion sensor lights, power strips and more.

Why choose LEDs?

There are several great reasons to switch to LEDs:

More energy efficient — LEDs use up to 90% less energy than incandescent bulbs and last up to 40 times longer.
Longer lasting — An average LED light lasts 50,000 hours, and an average incandescent bulb has a life of about 1,000 hours. An LED lasts from 6 to 12 years before needing to be replaced.
Cost effective — If you are using fluorescent, halogen or metal halide lamps, LEDs last two to four times longer.
Environmentally friendly — Traditional fluorescent lights and mercury vapor lights use mercury in the manufacturing process and must be disposed of with special handling, but LED lights don’t have these issues.
Cooler — Unlike incandescent and halogen lights, LEDs don’t generate heat, which helps keep you cool during hot summers and warm weather.

How do I dispose of my old bulbs?

All fluorescent light bulbs and tubes and high intensity discharge lamps (like metal halide, sodium or mercury vapor lamps) must be recycled or disposed of as hazardous waste, because they contain mercury. Households and businesses with small amounts can take lamps and tubes to a household hazardous waste collection center or event.
