Incentive Finder Tool Helps Customers Find Ways to Save Money and Increase Efficiency
Rocklin, CA — Pioneer Community Energy (Pioneer), a locally owned not-for-profit electricity provider headquartered in Rocklin, California, announced today the launch of its Incentive Finder, an online tool created to assist customers in finding rebates, tax credits, discounts, and financing alternatives — all with the goal of saving them money.
The Incentive Finder tool is custom created for Pioneer by Govcentives, its program partners, to determine user eligibility for a comprehensive set of incentives for home, transportation, and bill assistance programs. Users enter their location, tax status, and income to get tailored results from federal, state, and local sources. Results can be filtered by category to make it easy to find the best incentive matches. No personal information is collected or stored by Pioneer or Govcentives, meaning all results are confidential.
“The Incentive Finder tool is yet one more way Pioneer works to save customers money,” said Pioneer Board Chair and Auburn City Councilmember Alice Dowdin Calvillo. “It provides a single place to find rebates, incentives, and local program discounts, and it makes the information easy for customers to understand.”
Savings found in the Incentive Finder include home improvements, water heaters, bill savings programs, electric vehicle infrastructure, and many more. As the winter months begin, incentives on energy-efficient heating equipment are available— like a rebate for a high-efficiency electric heat pump for heating and cooling (HVAC) worth up to $8,802 or an insulation and sealing rebate for up to $2,200. Incentives vary based on income, tax filing status, and location, which the Incentive Finder filters out for each customer based on information the user provides.
With many federal tax credits ending this year, now is a good time to shop for energy upgrades using the Incentive Finder.
Since launching service in 2018, Pioneer has saved customers more than $108 million, with an additional $37 million in savings estimated in 2025. Additional information can be found at pioneercommunityenergy.org.
